But what proves again that the so-called ‘automotive’ media in Egypt is one of the most unprofessional and most misleading motoring media in the world, is the fact that none of those crime-scene reporters or advertising reps writing those ‘features’ and articles mentioned the most important fact about the new face-lift BMW X3 !

Which is the fact that the Made-in-Germany BMW X3 is now available with the extremely important money-saving and Egyptian-customs-friendly 1.6-litre engine, and thereby saving potential BMW X3 customers in Egypt between 100.000 – 200.000 LE depending on the options he is planning to order. In addition of course to owning a high-quality Made-in-Germany BMW X3 instead of a Made-In-Egypt one.

So why is there such a hype about this good-selling BMW X3 in Egypt and other parts of the world?

As we all know, in 2003 the BMW X3 premium class mid-scale highly successful Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) segment started to establish itself.

In addition to versatility, sports design, excellent driving dynamics and spacious interior also became a joy to its customers.

Two new engine, one diesel and one gasoline, will be available in the new BMW X3.

The new BMW X3 xDrive20d coms with the latest generation of diesel engines. This engine when setting new standards in the segment, less fuel consumption and extremely low CO2 emissions and offers more power. The technical of this diesel engines are: 190HP / 140kW power with a two-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine, from 0 to 100km/h in 8.1 seconds, consumption 5,0lt / 100km, with CO2 emissions of 131g / BM1.

But more important for the international markets suffering from exorbitant-high customs and taxes for cars with more than 1600cc, such as Egypt, is the 1.6-litre which is now available for the first time in the BMW X3 sDrive20i rear-wheel drive model. The technical specs of the BMW X3 with 1.6-litre engine are: 170HP / 125kW power with a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder gasoline engine, from 0 to 100km / h in 9.3 seconds, fuel consumption 7lt / 100km, CO2 emissions of 164g / km.
